Small Group Exercise Rehabilitation

 

At The Pelvic Studio our exercise rehabilitation service is unique! We combine all of the following: reformer Pilates, functional training, yoga and stretching. 

Our expertise and state-of-the-art facilitates allow you to bridge the gap between pelvic rehabilitation and whole body fitness. 

We offer weekly 1:1, 2:1, and small group rehab sessions.

These sessions are suitable for everyone of all ages including:

Pre and postnatal women

Peri and postmenopausal women

Men and women recovering from cancer treatments

Men post prostatectomy surgery


 

Our classes are tailored to the individual, focusing strengthening the pelvic floor and core, improving posture, stability and overall health and wellbeing.

Mixed Small Group Class: Clinical Rehab and Pilates

Postnatal Small Group Class: Postnatal rehabilitation and exercise with other Mums and their Bubs

Prenatal Small Group Class: Pregnancy focused rehabilitation and exercise with other prenatal participants

Studio Strong Small Group Class: Bone health, balance, posture, core and pelvic floor rehab to support active ageing

Men's Health Small Group Class: Male pelvic health rehabilitation, suitable for pre + post prostate surgery, general pelvic floor health and to support active ageing

Your exercise rehabilitation will be specifically tailored to your needs. Based on your assessment we will commence your rehabilitation at a level that is appropriate for your unique body. We will guide you on correct technique, and as your body strengthens we will progress your exercises. 

In the early stages of your rehab we may start with more simple motor training exercises, like activating your pelvic floor and deep core. This is to improve the deep stability around your spine and pelvis. We may then progress to isolating and strengthening particular muscle groups with Pilates inspired workouts using our reformer beds and matt-based equipment.  Finally, progressing to functional strength training using our cable machines and gym-based equipment. 

Whatever your goals may be, from living day-to-day life with out leakage or back pain, to more extremes like getting back into HIIT training or running a marathon, ‘The Pelvic Studio’ will get you back to what you love doing.
