Life as a new Mum can be beautifully chaotic.

There is a whirlwind of information on things like breastfeeding, sleep routines, which car seat/carrier to buy, baby brain development…the list goes on. It is understandable then, that your own health and recovery can become somewhat overwhelming. 

The Pelvic Studio have a considered range of postnatal classes, designed to help you bridge the gap between rehabilitation and fitness.

All our classes are 100% baby friendly, and it is our pleasure to help out with settling, entertaining and integrating bub into class wherever possible.


Mummas Mat, Return to Exercise Classes

Our ‘Mummas Mat Classes’ are mums and bubs group sessions, of 6 participants, and are a great place to start your return to exercise at any point in your postpartum journey.

The 8 week term, will guide you through a progressive mat exercise program, providing you with plenty of exercises you can do at home or in the gym WITH your bub! You will also receive postnatal related pelvic floor education throughout the class weeks, including information on core rehabilitation, managing aches and pains associated with feeding, return to higher intensity exercise and more. These classes are suitable from 6 weeks postnatal onwards.

Friday 7th June - Friday 26th July 9:45am

Term 4:

Friday 2nd Aug - Friday 20th September 9:45am

Pricing:
$35.00 / session
$280.00 / 8 week term

Invoices are provided for private health claiming with rebates up to $25.00 depending on your health fund!

 

Love the reformer? Our Small Group Sessions might be for you!

Our small group sessions are an excellent additional to our Mummas Mat class, and with a max of 5 participants allow for more individualised program. During these sessions your physio can prescribe a tailored exercise program that addresses your particular needs and goals.

These sessions are a great starting place for those wanting to optimise their technique and stability prior to progressing to a larger class or for those at the end stage of their rehabilitation and seeking a higher level program.

Timetable:

Our small group classes run year round! You can join whenever a space becomes available in your preferred time. These classes also offer flexibility so you don’t have to attend the same time every week, or each week in a row.

Monday: 11:45am / 4:15pm

Tuesday 11am - Mums and Bubs / 1.30pm

Thursday: 10:45am / 1:45pm

Friday: 9:00am - Mums and Bubs

You and bub are welcome at ALL our classes, the mums and bubs specific times are set up with an emphasis on community! But you’ll definitely find like-minded postnatal women in all our class slots.

Can’t see a time that suits? Our timetable is always growing, email our friendly reception team to request a class time!

$180.00 / block of 4 (can be used at your discretion)


Pre-Class Requirements

We advise coming in to see one of our pelvic physiotherapists for a six-week postnatal check. TPS strongly believes that a 6-week postnatal check should be standard care. In other words, all postnatal women should have a thorough pelvic assessment regardless of the presence or absence of a postnatal issueAlthough an early post-natal check is ideal, even if your children are all grown up, it’s never too late for an assessment.
