Life as a new Mum can be beautifully chaotic.

There is a whirlwind of information on things like breastfeeding, sleep routines, which car seat/carrier to buy, baby brain development…the list goes on. It is understandable then, that your own health and recovery can become somewhat overwhelming. 

The Pelvic Studio have a considered range of postnatal classes, designed to help you bridge the gap between rehabilitation and fitness.

Whether its a Small Group class or Mums and Bubs specific, all of our classes are 100% baby friendly, and it is our pleasure to help out with settling, entertaining and integrating bub into class wherever possible.


Mums and Bubs Return to Exercise Classes

Our mums and bubs group sessions are classes of 6-10 and are a great place to start your return to exercise at any point in your postpartum journey.

This class will guide you through a progressive exercise program, providing you with plenty of exercises you can do at home or in the gym WITH your bub! You will also receive postnatal related pelvic floor education throughout the class weeks, including information on core rehabilitation, managing aches and pains associated with feeding, return to higher intensity exercise and more. While our classes are focused on your movement journey, they also provide a warm sense of community, where you will meet other Mums working through their journey as a parent alongside you. Having a support system not just from your instructor but also from your peers can create that extra motivation to move- whether that’s in the studio or to get a coffee together after class!

These classes are suitable from 6 weeks postnatal onwards.

If the postnatal timetable doesn’t suit your lifestyle, our small group classes are available daily. Small group class offers a non-pod style training program, that can be adjusted to your needs allowing for personalised attention. While these sessions are open to all patients (not just mums and bubs), they still include the same quality education and training as our postnatal classes including being baby friendly!

Invoices are provided for private health claiming with rebates up to $25.00 depending on your health fund!


We’re excited to share our updated 2025 class timetable. With classes and consults in such high demand, we’re introducing an additional option alongside our physio-led classes: PT-led classes with our new team member, Katie Pickering (Strong Starts Mumsafe certified trainer, Lamaze & Childbirth Course facilitator, and mum of two).

This means you now have more opportunities to move, connect, and stay supported — with both options offering high-quality, safe exercise tailored for your stage.

Pricing

PT-Led Small Groups & Exercise Classes:
Large Group: $35 casual | $30 pack | $25 if paired with a physio led class
Small Group: $45 casual | $40 pack | $35 if paired with a physio led class

All classes are bub-friendly, structured, and designed to support your goals. The main difference is group size and whether your class is led by a physiotherapist or by Katie, our PT.

Pre-Class Requirements

We advise coming in to see one of our pelvic physiotherapists for a six-week postnatal check. TPS strongly believes that a 6-week postnatal check should be standard care. In other words, all those who’ve given birth should have a thorough pelvic assessment regardless of the presence or absence of a postnatal issueAlthough an early postnatal check is ideal, even if your children are all grown up, it’s never too late for an assessment.
