Jaclyn Thurley, the founder and principal physiotherapist at The Pelvic Studio, is a friendly, fun-loving and passionate physiotherapist with years of experience treating complex pelvic and musculoskeletal/sports conditions.

Jaclyn provides holistic patient-centred care, treating both the internal and external structures of the pelvis, often combining her manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation skills. When appropriate, Jaclyn explores your beliefs, mind-set and the role that your nervous system may play in your condition. By addressing both the body and the mind, Jaclyn is able to achieve positive patient outcomes, restore function and improve the quality of life of those she treats.

Originally from Hobart, Jaclyn completed her Physiotherapy Degree in Melbourne and commenced her career working privately in the musculoskeletal/sports world with a special interest in hip and pelvic girdle dysfunction. This early interest in the pelvis lead her to further study, completing a Pelvic Floor and Continence Post-Graduate Degree at Melbourne University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Physiotherapy at Curtin University (majoring in Women’s & Men’s Pelvic Health).

Jaclyn is a Titled APA Continence & Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. This means the Australia Physiotherapy Association recognises Jaclyn as a highly qualified practitioner. This accomplishment reflects her thirst for life-long learning and her devotion to her profession. This milestone was achieved through post-gradate study, contribution to research, attending conferences, training fellow physiotherapists, and presenting at courses and community groups. Jaclyn has worked alongside some of the best physiotherapists, doctors, and specialists in Australia. Whether it be your GP, Specialist, Psychologist, Personal Trainer, Pilates/Yoga Instructor, Chiropractor, Osteopath, Acupuncturist or Massage Therapist, Jaclyn strongly believes in multidisciplinary management and will collaborate closely with your health team to ensure an optimised continuum of care.
