JACLYN - FOUNDER + PRINCIPAL PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Jaclyn Thurley, the founder and principal physiotherapist at The Pelvic Studio, is a friendly, fun-loving and passionate physiotherapist with years of experience treating complex pelvic and musculoskeletal/sports conditions.

Jaclyn provides holistic patient-centred care, treating both the internal and external structures of the pelvis, often combining her manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation skills. When appropriate, Jaclyn explores your beliefs, mind-set and the role that your nervous system may play in your condition. By addressing both the body and the mind, Jaclyn is able to achieve positive patient outcomes, restore function and improve the quality of life of those she treats.

Monique - physiotherapist

Monique is a genuine, friendly, and passionate Physiotherapist.

She has completed further training and certification in Clinical Pilates and Women's Health.

Monique is a firm believer that movement is essential to both physical and mental health and finds the best results are achieved with her patients when she draws upon a combination of her manual and active therapy skills. Monique has a special interest in the pregnancy and post-natal population, and general musculoskeletal conditions such as neck and back pain.

In her downtime you will find Monique spending time at cafes, pilates, baking, going on coastal walks with her young family, and relaxing with a movie and a side of chocolate!

MOrgan - PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Morgan is passionate about helping people achieve their pelvic floor best at all stages of life. Morgan has extensive experience managing male and female pelvic floor conditions, pregnancy and postnatal care and pelvic floor rehabilitation, including Pilates and yoga. Morgan graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from LaTrobe University in 2010 and later completed her Graduate Certificate (Pelvic Floor) in 2015, and a Master of Public Health in 2018 at the University of Melbourne. Morgan also completed her yoga teacher training in India in 2014 and currently takes our prenatal yoga classes.

Originally from a small seaside town in Victoria, Morgan has been lucky enough to travel the globe for work, study and adventure before relocating to Hobart in early 2019. Morgan loves to keep active by walking or getting out on her trusty bike in rain, hail or shine. Otherwise, you’ll find her digging in her veggie patch.

ERIN– Physiotherapist

Erin is a compassionate Physiotherapist who endeavours to provide a holistic patient-centred approach to your care. She strives to empower and support her patients to become actively involved in their treatment plan. Erin is experienced in treating musculoskeletal conditions of the low back, pelvic girdle and hip regions with a particular interest in pre and post-natal care and sporting/athlete conditions. 

Erin has an extensive background in taking rehabilitation sessions and clinical Pilates and loves to make classes fun and enjoyable, whilst reaching your goals. 

Outside of work, Erin lives an active lifestyle with her growing family and enjoys running, cycling & Pilates.

Hannah - physiotherapist

Hannah is a physiotherapist with a calm, warm and inviting nature. Hannah instantly makes our TPS patients feel relaxed and confident that they are in good hands.

Hannah has 7 years experience as a physiotherapist with a special interest in pregnancy and postnatal care and general musculoskeletal conditions. Hannah has also recently undertaken training in the clinical management of paediatric bladder and bowel dysfunction and runs our Children’s Continence Service.

Hannah loves spending time with her husband and two beautiful children down at their family shack. She is also a keen hockey player, an overall lover of sports, gardening, cooking and anything food related!

Katherine - Physiotherapist

Katherine has 7 years experience as a physiotherapist working across different fields including private practice, abroad in London and community care before finding her passion for women’s health. She has a special interest in pre and post natal care as well as general musculoskeletal conditions

She has extensive experience in Pilates and exercise rehabilitation and loves to use exercise as part of her treatment. 

Outside of work Katherine enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, bushwalking, mountain biking and spending time at the family shack.

Emma - Physiotherapist

Emma is originally from country NSW and graduated from a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle. Emma also holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation through the University of Melbourne. Since moving to Tasmania, she has been working at the Royal Hobart Hospital as a Senior Physiotherapist in Pelvic Health. Emma is also proudly the chairperson of the Tasmanian Branch of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Women’s Men’s and Pelvic Health Group.

Emma is passionate about empowering patients at all stages of life to better understand their bodies (and especially their pelvic floor) in order to lead active lives. She particularly enjoys working with men before and after prostate surgery and women during and after pregnancy, taking a holistic approach to managing common complaints such as incontinence.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys yoga, pottering in the garden, exploring the Tasmanian wilderness, and hanging out with her family, chooks and dog.

Simone - Remedial Massage Therapist

Simone has been practising remedial massage for over 18 years using acupressure, Thai stretching, reflexology, soft and deep tissue massage to create the perfect mix of pleasure and pain. Simone just seems to know how to find those 'tight spots' but at the same time create such a pleasurable experience that you just float out of The Pelvic Studio after your massage!

Simone sees males and females of all ages but has a special interest in pregnancy massage. Simone provides us with her talented hands on Mondays and Tuesdays. Bookings can be made online by selecting the service "remedial massage".


Anna – Practice Manager & Receptionist

Anna is the bright and bubbly lead of our front of house team. She is also the creator behind our social media content, and is always looking for opportunity to snap the team in action. 

Anna’s passion for women’s + men’s health has her constantly expanding her pelvic health knowledge. This is such an asset to our patients and their experience, immediately putting them at ease.

With 7 years in medical administration and management, TPS feels very blessed to have Anna’s skill set on board. 

Outside of TPS, you can find Anna on the netball court, with a glass of wine or a good book. 


Maya - Receptionist

Maya is part of TPS’s front of house and looks forward to greeting you when you arrive and taking care of your administration needs! Maya loves working closely with our skilled physiotherapists to help improve our patients quality of life.

Outside of TPS, Maya is undertaking a Bachelor of Medical Research and is considering continuing on with her studies to eventually become a physiotherapist herself. Maya is also planning to become a yoga teacher in the near future and is excited to provide TPS with much needed yoga classes to compliment our physiotherapy services and assist our patients in relieving their pelvic tension for the management of pelvic pain and overactive pelvic floor.

In Maya’s free time she enjoys living a very active lifestyle and doing activities which often involve her dog Layla!

Katelyn - receptionist

Katelyn is another friendly face that makes up TPS’s front of house.

Katelyn joins us after 12 years in the dental industry and has a passion for health!

Katelyn was a patient of TPS and attended our pregnancy and postnatal classes. When a position in our reception team became available we were overjoyed when Katelyn applied!

Katelyn loves interacting with patients and their bubs. Outside of work Katelyn enjoys spending time with her family and her doggies. Katelyn also loves to knit, travel/ camp and spend time with friends.

Nikki - Receptionist

Nikki rounds out our front of house team, and comes to TPS with a wealth of experience in administration and management.

Nikki’s fun and relaxed demeanour ensures our patients are always at ease, and she can often be spotted having a little dance as she goes about her day.

Outside of work, Nikki likes long walks on the beach with her pup, Otis and partner Stef, and baking goodies for the team.

Midwife Emma

Emma is a Registered Midwife, Nurse, and Childbirth educator. Offering Calmbirth classes out of The Pelvic Studio.

Emma is passionate about educating families with the idea that “with knowledge comes confidence”. By preparing families with education and knowledge as well as practical skills on how to work with labour and birth they are far more likely to feel prepared and ready to birth. By preparing and understanding how your body works to birth your baby you are far more likely to feel safe and confident. Emerging not just physically but also emotionally well from your experience.

Emma is determined to support our Hobart community to change the way they view and perceive birth, reducing any fear or uncertainty around birth and replace it with support, community and empowered confidence.
